Genie Knuckle boom lifts are strong four wheel steering and four wheel drive capable machinery which allow work to be completed effectively, even if the terrain is rough. The ALC 1000 electronic controls are a menu-based system which enables the user to easily calibrate the machinery and its components. System diagnostics are offered in multiple languages. On the Z-80/60 model, there are dual fuel options available. The optional Deutz diesel powered engine is turbocharged, but quiet. It allows for improved performance at higher altitudes. In addition, it carries more than enough torque for better terrain- and grade-ability.
Enhanced traction for tough terrain is due to full-time positive traction and four-wheel drive. The Z-135/70 comes standard with four-wheel steering. Optional features on this particular model include crab, coordinated, front wheel, and rear wheel steering to give the machine added agility. on the Z-80/60 helps improve wheel contact on uneven ground. Although these units are bigger compared to other Genie engine-powered articulating Z-booms, they have features like continuous 360 degree turntable rotation and telescoping jibs to provide the user with incredible range of motion and reach. The design of the Z-boom gives the units exceptional over and up positioning capability which varies from 8.83 meters on the Z-80/60 model to 23.01 meters on the Z-135/70 unit. The XChassis expanding axle is an innovatively designed device utilized for retracting and extending axles out and in of stowed position. The width of the Z-135/70 unit equipment is only 2.46 meters if the axle is stowed. For easier transport, the Z-80/60 has fixed width axles.
