Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklifts provide versatility and height. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the person using it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the load to great heights. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the load away from and towards the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually used in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is needed.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would usually utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is designed to hoist employees is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
