End Control Forklifts
The stand-up end control forklift is an extremely flexible equipment and is common in the material handling business. These machines have great performance characteristics that are somewhat comparable to sit-down electric forklift models.
Ideally, these forklift truck models are suitable for warehousing operation settings that have limited space. Their working aisle requirements are often less than those required of a three-wheel electric forklift truck. These equipment are an excellent option for applications that require frequent off and on access, since their stand-up design is an exceptional characteristic.
The reach truck is a loading device used by various companies that maintain a storage facility involving the arrangement of finished products on pallets and supplies that are stacked or stored into tall shelving compartments. The reach truck provides simple and safe retrieval of the loaded pallets. It is also a great alternative for people who prefer to store pallets of goods they do not require for immediate use in a way that is efficient and safe.
All basic reach truck models would have an out-rigging mechanism secured to the front of the machine. Telescoping blades are mounted to the out-rigging and can move down and up. The tines additionally include a hydraulic system which allows the driver to lift the load and reposition it over the out-riggers. This design not only provides much more balance to the overall load, but makes it really easy for the reach truck to maneuver between the storage shelves into narrow aisles.
After the reach truck finds the shelves that are designated for the pallet, the hydraulics enable the tines to swing into position and lower the pallet into the shelving, sliding the pallet into position. Normally, a reach truck will easily fit into an aisle that is less than 10 feet wide without any problem, as long as there are no other pallets protruding out from the shelving area.
