Genie telescopic S-booms have a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight places during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular model could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were inaccessible by standard jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully at the same time. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features lessens the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing effectiveness and production.
