Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, ever since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their goals because they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
Boom lifts are available in 2 general kinds, the straight boom lift and articulated boom lift. Both these units are normally hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the great choice for tasks which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment could rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator is able to steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a really versatile equipment. These units are available in propane, gas or diesel configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift units perform jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work environment.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers in order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is necessary prior to using boom lifts so as to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs that used to require many more man hours to be done in a much shorter time period. These equipment have greatly increased productivity and have changed the material handling business.
