Used Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift Elk Grove

Used Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift Elk Grove

There are 7 different classes of lift trucks as determined by the Industrial Truck Association or ITA. These categories are divided into the type of work setting; outdoors, indoors, smooth or rough surfaces and narrow aisle; by the kind of engine; whether the operator is standing or sitting down; and lastly the equipment characteristics, regarding the maximum grade and tire type. Some of the categories are further sub-divided by operating characteristics. Here are the following forklift classifications:

Class 1 Forklifts: these machinery comprise electric motor trucks which use either air filled or pneumatic tires or cushion tires. The Class 1 forklifts also include 4 lift codes, or subcategories that are:

Lift Code 1: Counterbalanced, stand up rider units.
Lift Code 4: 3-Wheel electric sit-down models.
Lift Code 5: Cushion Tire sit down, counterbalanced rider
Lift Code 6: Includes pneumatic tire units, counterbalanced rider, and sit-down rider.

Category 2 Forklifts: Class 2 lift trucks narrow aisle trucks with solid tires and electric motors.
Class 3 Forklifts: Class 3 lift trucks consist of hand/rider trucks with solid tires and electric hand trucks.
Class 4 Forklifts: The IC or internal combustion models make up Class 4 forklifts. These are sit down rider units with cushion tires. Usually, they are great for use on hard surfaces and indoor application.
Category 5 Forklifts: Internal Combustion sit down rider models equipped with pneumatic tires make up Class 5 forklifts. Normally, these units are great for working on rough surfaces outdoors or on areas with significant inclines.
Category 6 Forklifts: The Class 6 forklifts are either IC powered or electric units. These ride-on units have the capability to tow at least 1000 lbs. This particular class is designed and engineered to tow loads as opposed to lift it.
Class 7 Forklifts: Class 7 only included rough terrain models with pneumatic tires. The Class 7 forklifts are almost exclusively utilized outside and powered by diesel engines.

The various categories of lift trucks help to keep them separated and organized. Different types of working environments depend on various classifications in order to get their work completed. Forklifts are quite specific in their lifting and loading capacities. Their different engine types and tire types are made for specific applications. In order to select the best forklift to suit your needs and to fulfill your tasks, do some research to know precisely what you will require from your particular unit. By talking to a few reputable dealers and making time to explore your options, you could select the appropriate machinery.
